Information about Permanent CosmeticsPermanent cosmetics is the art of enhancing ones natural beauty by implanting pigments of suitable colors in appropriate places. A consultation is always done before the procedure is begun. Many times this is done on the same day, but it is also acceptable to schedule a separate appointment. Either way it is my job to insure that all your questions are answered, and to evoke a secure level of confidence in my ability. There is never any charge for consultation. Before a procedure is begun, discussions about expectations and final results are carried out. Lip liner and eyebrows are always drawn on in advance so there are no surprises. I make my procedure decisions very clear to my clients before we get started. The implantation of pigments is done in a progressive and careful manner. A local anesthetic is used to make the procedure more tolerable. Each procedure can take up to two hours. I will periodically show you the mirror so you can keep an eye on my progress. Your input is important to me. For those of you who are not sure how they should wear their make-up I am happy to create a look for you of simply make suggestions. Do not worry I will not perform a permanent procedure that I do not agree with. After the procedure is done you may experience some swelling (most commonly with eyeliner) that can last for several days. Schedule your activities accordingly. There is a five-day healing period during which time nothing other than petroleum jelly (Vaseline) can be worn on the procedure area. At the end of those five days you can resume your normal facial regimen. I include a touch-up which I recommend be done after 4 weeks. It is usually scheduled at the time of the initial procedure, and it can be cancelled if not needed. Please feel free to call me for a free consultation (208) 660-2307 |
